Arsenal may already be planning for life without Hector Bellerin, if reports in Spain are to be believed.
Don Balon have picked up on suggestions that the Gunners will sell the Spain international to Barcelona, making it almost inevitable that Arsene Wenger will sign a new full-back.
It’s claimed the club will use the money from the Bellerin deal to sign Danilo from Real Madrid, as the Brazilian has never really justified the €31.5million Los Blancos forked out to sign him from Porto in 2015.
The fee could be a sticking point, therefore, with Arsenal only willing to offer in the region of €20million.
Given that Danilo has only made 16 appearances in La Liga this term, he won’t be a great loss at the Bernabeu, but he could be far more influential at the Emirates.
The 25-year-old can play on the left or the right, making him a potential solution to more than one of Arsenal’s problems at the back.
