Jose Mourinho eyeing one of his former Chelsea players

Jose-Mourinho

Jose Mourinho must know how difficult it’s going to be for Manchester United to persuade players to join them if they don’t secure Champions League football.

The Red Devils need to finish the job against Celta Vigo to reach the Europa League final, where they are likely to do battle with Ajax for a spot in Europe’s elite competition.

Nonetheless, Mourinho remains confident that United’s enormous budget and prestige should still be enough of an attraction.

According to Goal, the Portuguese boss is set to raid his former club Chelsea, and while Antonio Conte’s side are expected to win the Premier League, that doesn’t mean all of the Blues’ players are entirely happy.

It’s suggested that Willian has grown frustrated at being in and out of the team, having only started 13 league games all season.

The Brazilian has chipped in with 11 goals in all competitions, but he has been competing with Pedro for his spot. At a personal level, the midfielder has had a difficult season, which Chelsea have supported him through, but he still has a close relationship with his former manager and that could play into United’s hands.
