Romelu Lukaku’s latest decision could have a big impact on Chelsea’s summer

Romelu Lukaku’s incredible recent form has seen renewed talk of a move back to Chelsea in the summer.

The Belgian scored four goals against Bournemouth in last weekend’s 6-3, but that has only proven his worth to Everton even further.

The Toffees are set to offer the 23-year-old a new contract, so it now just remains to be seen whether he signs it.

Mino Raiola, the super-agent responsible for the striker, is a pretty good source when it comes to Lukaku’s plans, and he’s revealed an interesting update.

“There are no problems right now between the player and the club,” he told talkSPORT.

“Talks are ongoing. He will sign.”

That could scupper Antonio Conte’s plans, with Chelsea thought to be on the hunt for a new forward.

As yet, the club are yet to offer Diego Costa an improved contract, but that may change if they are unable to find a top replacement. It’s expected the Spain international will head to the Chinese Super League if he does depart Stamford Bridge.

Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata could therefore usurp Lukaku at the top of the Blues’ list, though it all depends on whether the volatile Costa decides to stay.
