With Memphis Depay having left for Lyon, Manchester United aren’t expected to let too many of their other players go.
Ashley Young is one of the few who could still leave in the current transfer window, and it seems the Premier League may have seen the last of the former Watford and Aston Villa winger.
According to the Mirror, the 31-year-old is considering an offer from Chinese Super League club Shandong Luneng and could therefore snub interest from other English clubs.
Over three years, the former England international is set to pick up an impressive £16million if he does head to the Far East.
United don’t seem opposed to all this either, as they are placing him at a price of just £10million, which is quite the bargain in today’s market despite his age.
Young has featured just six times under Jose Mourinho, so he is unlikely to play much of a role in any success United have this season. It’s for that reason that China seems like the perfect option for the ageing midfielder, especially if he’s set to earn big money.
