Manchester City have made a decision on Claudio Bravo

bravo

Claudio Bravo didn’t make a single save during Manchester City’s 4-0 defeat at Everton.

As the scoreline suggests, it’s not as if the Chilean had nothing to do all afternoon, but his latest error-strewn performance may have been the final straw.

The Sun are reporting that City are now going to proceed with signing another goalkeeper in the summer, with Pep Guardiola still unwilling to ask Joe Hart’s forgiveness.

The England international has been on loan at Torino after Guardiola decided Bravo was better with his feet, and it’s fair to say that decision has backfired spectacularly.

Second choice goalkeeper Willy Caballero – the hero of last year’s Capital One Cup win – is unlikely to stay either as he has yet to be offered a new contract.

All this brings more uncertainty for City at a time when they need it least.

The same newspaper has named a number of potential summer signings, including Real Sociedad stopper Geronimo Rulli, on whom City have a buy-back option. Benfica’s Ederson and Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford are the other names in the frame so far.
