Mauricio Pochettino has little reason to shake up his squad this January.
After six wins in a row in all competitions, Tottenham look in fine form and could go second this weekend if they beat West Brom and Liverpool fail to beat Manchester United.
While the Lilywhites aren’t therefore expecting to make too many changes, the one player who is set to leave is midfielder Tom Carroll.
The academy product has made just one league appearance this season and according to the Telegraph, he is now on his way to Swansea in an £8million deal.
Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas believes he’s the only player who’s been given permission to head elsewhere, and the 24-year-old will now link up with Paul Clement in South Wales as he tries to keep the struggling Swans up.

Of course, this won’t be Carroll’s first spell at the club. He was sent on loan there two seasons ago, and his impressive form actually helped him stay at Spurs rather longer than he would have otherwise.
Pochettino has numerous other options in his position, so this is one deal chairman Daniel Levy will be desperate to get over the line – especially at £8million.
