Dele Alli scored twice for the third successive game in a row as Tottenham ended Chelsea’s incredible run with a 2-0 victory at White Hart Lane.
Spurs defied the general consensus that Antonio Conte’s men were in unstoppable form, putting in a perfect performance to ease themselves back into the top four.
Mauricio Pochettino hailed his team as back in the title race, with the Lilywhites now just seven points behind Chelsea and two behind second-placed Liverpool.
Alli was right at the heart of the win, even if the Blues tried to limit his time on the ball. Unsurprisingly, all the post-match talk surrounded the 20-year-old starlet and his potential to go onto great things, and it has to be said that so far, he shapes up rather well against some Premier League legends.
The brace means he has now reached double figures in both of his first two seasons in north London, taking his tally to 20 Premier League goals. To put that in perspective, Matt Le Tissier is the only midfielder to have achieved that feat faster.

As you can see, Alli has reached the milestone quicker than Paul Scholes and David Beckham, and over twice as fast as Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard.
And even Le Tissier seems to be backing him:

No Premier League midfielder has scored more than Alli in the last two seasons, either.
The only downside for Spurs is that the more attention he attracts, the harder it’s going to be for them to hold onto him in the summer. Real Madrid are already reportedly hovering (as per the Mirror) but on his current form, Pochettino seems like the man to nurture him into one of the greats.
