Memphis Depay’s Man United career has hit an all-time low

Memphis

Frankly, it’s time Memphis Depay left Manchester United.

The Dutchman has unceremoniously flopped at Old Trafford, and his best hope of reviving his career is to call it quits in January.

Tottenham and Everton have both been linked with the winger, but he isn’t making things easy for any potential buyers.

The Sun have pictured him smoking shisha in Rotterdam, an expose which isn’t likely to go down well with Jose Mourinho, who initially tried to give him a chance this season.

The story isn’t a million miles away from Wayne Rooney’s drinking exploits last month, but it’s fair to say the England captain had already earned fans’ respect long before that piece of gossip emerged.

As for Memphis, his lacklustre performances aren’t likely to be improved by this kind of lifestyle.

The 22-year-old cost United £25million, but they are going to struggle to convince anyone to pay anything near that, regardless of his off-field problems.
