Thibaut Courtois tells Chelsea he’s moving to top European club

Thibaut Courtois

Antonio Conte’s revolution is well and truly underway at Chelsea, but it seems not everyone wants to be a part of it.

It was thought that one of the Italian’s biggest achievements in west London so far was that he had convinced Diego Costa and Thibaut Courtois to stay, but perhaps that isn’t true after all.

While Costa is finally settled, Courtois could still be on the move, at least if you believe Spanish publication Marca, who have it that the goalkeeper is set for a permanent move to Real Madrid.

The Belgian has made no secret of his desire to return to Spain one day, and it would certainly be controversial if the former Atleti stopper moved to the Bernabeu.

Los Blancos have never been quite sure of the current number one, Keylor Navas, so Courtois is aware that he could take his place between the sticks if he did move to the Spanish capital.

The same source claim that he has now notified his Chelsea team-mates that he will be leaving in the summer, and his stock is only going to go up if he heads to La Liga as a title winner.
