Arsenal fans react hilariously to nightmare Champions League draw

It was inevitable.

Arsenal traditionally struggle to top their Champions League group, but the one year they’ve managed it, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid both finished as runners-up.

Gunners fans joked that they were guaranteed one of the European giants in the draw, but they were secretly hoping that just once, the football gods would have been kind to them.

If the latter is true, then they were devastatingly wrong. It’s Bayern.

Arsene Wenger’s side will face the Bundesliga champions in February and March, and probably won’t be making too many plans after that.

Carlo Ancelotti hasn’t exactly had the best start to life at the Allianz Arena, but his team will be huge favourites nonetheless.

As the reality started to sink in, Arsenal fans were quickly on Twitter, and their reactions were not pretty. They say games like these are why you want to be in the Champions League, but it’s fair to say they’d rather have had Bayer Leverkusen and saved the big ties for the final.

So, we get Bayern Munich. If we'd finished runners up it would have been Barca! UEFA hates us. 😂😂
