Jose Mourinho has plenty of choice when it comes to who to sell in January.
Too many Manchester United players haven’t been pulling their weight this season, though Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay haven’t exactly been given a fair crack of the whip.
It’s likely both midfielders are heading for the Old Trafford exit, but the Mirror are ruling out Everton as a potential destination.
That’s because United view the Toffees as rivals for a European place and are reluctant to give them an edge by handing out players.
Of course, Schneiderlin and Depay may not seem like the answers to Everton’s problems on current form, but Mourinho fears Ronald Koeman could get the best out of them.
United and Everton are competing for a Europa League place, though the Red Devils still harbour hopes of breaking back into the top four. Mourinho’s men currently sit sixth in the Premier League table, just one point above the Blues.
