Arsenal’s summer of disaster has taken another turn for the worse, if that’s even possible anymore.
The Emirates faithful have been left furious by the club’s lack of signings, Swiss international Granit Xhaka their only major coup.
In fact, even he hasn’t made the best start to life in the Premier League, so things are looking pretty bleak.
The Gunners have also brought in more minor signings Rob Holding and Takuma Asano, but even that hasn’t gone smoothly.
According to the Mirror, Asano can’t even play for them because he has been denied a work permit.
The 21-year-old, who has scored five goals at international level for Japan, hasn’t met the requirements to play in England.
Asano was always going to be one for the future, but signing a player who isn’t even allowed to play here takes some doing, even for Arsene Wenger.
A loan spell in either Ligue 1 or the Belgian Jupiler League now awaits as Arsenal clamour to get his paperwork.
