Chelsea have no plans to sell Cesc Fabregas despite the midfielder being left out of the opening day win over West Ham.
The Spaniard has been linked with his former club Barcelona, as well as Juventus, both of whom won their respective leagues last season.
However, Sky Sports report that the midfielder is still part of Antonio Conte’s plans, even if they have no European football of their own to contend in this season.
“Cesc is Chelsea’s player, and I’m happy about him, with his attitude and behaviour,” said Conte.
Fabregas’ place in the Blues’ midfield has come under threat following the arrival of N’Golo Kante, who put in an impressive performance against the Hammers.
However, the former Arsenal man is still in contention, as Chelsea as a unit looked far from flawless. In fact, if it were not for Diego Costa’s late goal, when he arguably shouldn’t have even been on the pitch, they wouldn’t have got three points at all and would be conducting a very different autopsy today.
