Real Madrid starlet Martin Odegaard is considering a move to Liverpool, according to the Sun.
The young Norweigan, who is still just 17, is set to discuss his future with Los Blancos over the coming days, as they don’t believe he’s yet ready for a regular first team place, hence why he’s been stuck in their ‘B’ team.
Bundesliga duo Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburg are extremely interested in taking the attacking midfielder on loan, but the player himself is hoping to attract the attention of Liverpool and in particular, boss Jurgen Klopp.
The prodigy was thought of as one of Europe’s brightest young talents when he moved to the Spanish capital, but he needs to be playing more football if he is to develop into the player he can be.
The same source also claims he has already looked around Liverpool’s Melwood training ground, although his massive wage bill of £80,000 could put off the Reds, as they are not exactly plush for cash right now.
If Real were willing to foot some of that, then there could be some chance of Odegaard getting his wish, but there would need to be some agreement in place for Liverpool to take on the risk.
