Manchester City’s summer transfer window looks to be far from over, with the Daily Mail reporting they are still keen to bring in Ante Coric from Dinamo Zagreb.
The 19-year-old is on Pep Guardiola’s wishlist after taking part in Croatia’s Euro 2016 campaign.
City could have to fight off interest from Premier League rivals Chelsea, Spurs, and Liverpool, but it’s understood they are now leading the race to sign the wonder kid.
Guardiola already has plenty of options in midfield, with Coric a creative player.
The only concern for Coric would be how much game time he would be given at the Etihad.
The club’s other summer signings, Leroy Sane, Marlos Moreno, and Gabriel Jesus have shown, at least ostensibly, that Guardiola is trying to build a young team.
However, the club’s faux-youth policy has in the past simply meant young players are left to fester without developing at all, and that is not a risk Coric will want to take.
