Borussia Dortmund could be lining up a surprise move for Tottenham midfielder Nacer Chadli, reports the Sun.
The 26-year-old struggled with injuries last season and found himself confined to the bench on his return, but the Bundesliga outfit could be ready to offer him a way out.
With Spurs set to sign a number of attacking players, it is difficult to envisage where Chadli will fit next season.
The Belgium international, who missed out on this summer’s Euros, operated as a super sub at the turn of the year, but it’s unlikely he will want to stay in north London if that’s the only part he has to play in Mauricio Pochettino’s plans.
Chadli started just 10 Premier League games over the course of the 2015/2016 campaign, and with Spurs facing a Champions League campaign next season, they are trying to make sure that their back-up players are of the highest quality.
BVB seems a surprising destination, but as a club with limited resources, Dortmund are ultimately going to find it difficult to compete for the very top players.
