Manchester City could be set for a sensational double swoop, with Pep Guardiola hoping to bring in Toni Kroos and Luis Suarez, according to the Mirror.
Guardiola is keen not to be left behind in the transfer window after Manchester United signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and this would certainly be a way of making a mark.
Kroos has a release clause of £63million, while Suarez would cost closer to £85million.
City have already signed Ilkay Gundogan and Nolito, but Guardiola would like to bring in a headline-grabber before the window closes.
It would be difficult to tempt either Kroos or Suarez away from Real Madrid or Barcelona respectively, though of course, Kroos played under Guardiola at Bayern Munich for a season before moving to La Liga.
Suarez has previously proven himself in English football, scoring 69 goals in 110 appearances.
However, he had a strained relationship with the media and fans in England, and that could put him off the move.
Manchester City are already favourites for the title next season, and if they were to pull off even one of them, it would be hard to see past them.
