Spurs have made a bid for Paris Saint-Germain starlet Wilfried Kanga, according to talkSport.
The sensation has caught the eye of a number of big clubs, but Spurs are the first English club to make a formal approach.
Kanga is an ideal choice in many ways because of his unusual situation in the French capital.
He is yet to actually sign professional terms with French champions PSG, so a transfer fee wouldn’t be involved.
Nonetheless, the two clubs would need to agree on compensation, which may prove a sticking point as it so often does with young players of such promise.
The youngster can play up front or on the wing, and that versatility would certainly benefit Spurs as they could do with a little more back up down the flanks, particularly if Nacer Chadli is sold.
Spurs have reportedly reassured the 18-year-old that he will be training with the senior players, though it remains to be seen whether Mauricio Pochettino would want to introduce him to the first team straight away.
Kanga is undoubtedly a huge talent and could be one for the future, which makes him exactly Pochettino’s type of player.
