Lionel Messi’s first agent reveals which club superstar plans to join next

Lionel Messi’s future is always up for debate no matter how long he stays at Barcelona.

Recent speculation suggested Manchester United were interested in making an audacious bid to lure the Argentine superstar to the Premier League.

However, his first agent has poured cold water on those claims by insisting that when Messi’s time in Barcelona is up, he only has one destination in mind.

That is Argentinian club Newell’s Old Boys, who signed him as a youngster back in 1994.

Barcelona may have turned him into the player he is today, but he still holds his former club dear because they were the first to give him a chance in football, despite his small stature.

Horacio Gaggioli told Goal.com: “I’m absolutely convinced this will happen. He will be back to play for Newell’s Old Boys, from Rosario.”

That may come as a disappointment to English fans, who have always speculated how he would fare in the Premier League, particularly as Cristiano Ronaldo has already tried and tested it.

When Messi’s time at Barca finally ends, though, a return home is undoubtedly the best thing for his reputation to remain in tact.
