Chelsea and former England Captain, John Terry has stated once again but this time in a grand style that, he will stay at Chelsea.
The 35-year-old has a month left on his contract, however the defender revealed that the club has offered him a new contract but under a “different role.”
Terry’s speech on the field after Sunday’s one all draw with the current Champions,Leicester City, was simple and straight as he stated “I want to stay. The club knows that, the fans know that.”
Further talks between Terry and the club are expected to take place next week.
Under new manager Antonio Conte, Terry will likely take a role of a player/coach but focus more on helping younger defenders develop at the club.
