Chelsea star forward, Eden Hazard has launched a surprising attack on Chelsea fans following what has been a very difficult season.
Hazard admits he has not been in his best shape this season having scored his first Premier League goals with only four games to go to the end of the season.
Last season’s PFA Player of the Year scored a brace against Bournemouth and says Blues fans may have easily forgotten his efforts since he arrived from Lille in the summer of 2012.
“I thought the fans were booing because they didn’t want me to be replaced. Supporters pay for their tickets and they want to be entertained. If they are not happy they are entitled to boo. But people mustn’t forget what I have done for Chelsea.” he said.
“We are having a tougher time than normal but we will get over it. I never doubt my abilities. A lot of nonsense gets talked about my future but I have four years left on my contract.”
The Belgium international – who has been consistently linked with moves to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain – said it’s hard to retain high standard performances throughout the season but claims the team is determined to return to form from this season’s disappointments.
“I’ve long told myself that one day I would have a season like the one I’m going through. Chelsea have not had a good season and neither have I. We are working hard to improve.” He added.
