Manchester United could be back in for former star forward Cristiano Ronaldo as reports suggest United have readied a £50m bid.
The commitment of the Portuguese star at Real Madrid has been questioned with recent reports saying he has handed in a transfer request to force a move out of the club in search of new adventures.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, the Loc Blancos hierarchy are ready to offload Ronaldo in a massive shakeup of the squad after their failure in winning the La Liga in the last three seasons.
With United also needing a strong character as Ronaldo’s in their squad to save their sinking club, that has not won major trophies since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, their former player could be the answer to their problems upfront.
Real Madrid have set an asking price of €60m (£48.6m) and that could mean United will not have it rosy going for their man, cash rich Paris Saint Germain will also be in contention to secure a deal.
Ronaldo switched to Old Trafford as an 18-year-old in 2003 and was sold to the La Liga giants six years later for a then-world record fee of £80m.
