According to reports, young center back Andreas Christensen would reject a move back to Chelsea from his two-year loan deal with Borussia Mochengladbach.

The Blues hierarchy are sending an SOS call to the 19-year-old amid their mini defensive crisis, with Kurt Zouma on a long term injury and the future of captain John Terry uncertain.

However, According to a report by the Telegraph, Christensen will reject the move back to Stamford Bridge, and focus on developing at the Bundesliga club.

His time in Bundesliga has yielded some good results as he has been touted as one of the best in his position in the league this season.

He signed a five year deal with Chelsea prior to his departure to Germany, but that has not deterred suitors like Bayern Munich and Barcelona making enquiries of his availability.

Monchengladbach have also made it clear they want to keep the growing star beyond the two years but Chelsea are keen to have the Denmark international back in the blue shirt.

Chelsea fans, do we need him back?
