For those of you who are considering not watching football for 5 years while Manchester City dominate the game, it might be a good time to look away now.

As for Manchester City fans, the days of Stuart Pearce and relegation fears must feel like an actual dream as David Silva and Sergio Aguero dance across the turf to devastating effect.

And things could be about to get even better with the arrival of Pep Guardiola in the summer.

The Guardian kicks off by reporting that the new man will have £150m to spend on new players – we wouldn’t be surprised if it was more.

City’s standing as the richest club in the world along with next season’s record Premier League broadcast deal of £5.14bn means Guardiola will be given the backing to enter the market as he wishes in the close season.

And rumours in one tabloid suggest that Pep will attempt to bring Neymar with him to England.

The player himself flirted with the press recently when he stated that he would love to play for Pep:

“Guardiola is a guy that I really admire and who I would love to work with,”

Guardiola ruled Europe with Messi in his prime at Barcelona and perhaps Neymar will become that totemic capture to help Manchester City go to the next level in Europe.

The announcement of Pep’s summer arrival may have seemed a little unfair on Manuel Pellegrini but Manchester City fans may now see this season a shot to nothing where the team can go and enjoy themselves and hopefully pick up some silverware along the way.

Let’s see Neymar in action.

Mancheser City fans: do you feel that this is a realistic signing or will Neymar stay at Barcelona?
