Chelsea linked with another stunning transfer – report

Toothless to Ruthless

The more you think about it the more it makes sense.

Chelsea look set to sign Alex Pato but he’s more of a creator and a number ten than a ruthless, prolific number 9.

And Chelsea’s Dutch boss must know Robin van Persie well.

Sky Sports reports:

There have been reports today linking Chelsea with a move for former Arsenal and Manchester United striker Robin van Persie.

Sky sources are saying Fenerbahce would only sell the Dutchman if they received an “extraordinary offer” – though the player is known to be unhappy in Turkey.

We were surprised when Manchester United sold the brilliant Dutchman. And although the 32-year-old may not be quite as sharp as he once was, he has still hit 11 in 26 for Fenerbahce this season.

And, given the choice, we strongly believe that Chelsea fans would rather have him in their squad than not.

Van Persie has scored lots of goals wherever he has played. 132 in 277 for Arsenal. And a brilliant 58 in 105 for Manchester United. He is widely regarded as winning United the title in Sir Alex Ferguson’s last year at the club.

He’s also bagged 50 in 101 games for The Netherlands and he looked as sharp as ever with that incredible header in Brazil in 2014.

We’d like to hear from Chelsea fans on this one.

Would RvP make a difference at the club at his age? Or is the signing of Pato enough to spark a revival in the final third of the season?

Let’s see him in action.

Comment: People should stop to leave in the past. Football is not all about history, your present form will determine what you’re worth.
    So set sentiment aside.
