We are still hopeful that Arsene Wenger will make more than the one signing, for Mohamed Elneny, this month.
Arsenal are in their strongest position in years in terms of their chances of winning the The Premier League.
But that’s exactly why he should be strengthening his position in January to keep the others at arm’s length.
Olivier Giroud has been on fire but imagine if Arsenal also had Edinson Cavani in their ranks? We could be talking about a few years of domination for The Gunners.
Anyway, far be it for us to tell the slight Frenchman how to do his job.
Arsenal have, though, been linked wt a really tasty forward in the latest news cycle.
The Daily Star writes:
ARSENAL have agreed a £23m fee for Dynamo Kiev ace Andriy Yarmolenko, according to reports.
This comes from a Ukrainian news outlet called Sport who reckon it could be in the bag but that the player won’t make the move until the summer.
Yarmolenko is a 26-year-old goalscoring winger who has hit 22 goals in 55 games at international level for Ukraine and an excellent 108 in 282 appearances for Dynamo Kyiv in his near decade at the club.
In other rumours the excellent Spanish daily Sport.es persists with the idea that Arsenal want Celta Vigo striker Nolito.
They say that the Spaniard’s move to Barcelona is off and that Arsenal will jump in.
