Arsenal are apparently ‘willing to pay’ around 18 million Euros for Spanish international centre forward Nolito, according to reports in Spain.
Mundo Deportivo reports that:
Arsenal and an Italian club are willing to pay the current clause of 18 million
Anyone who has seen Nolito play will probably tell you that this would be a good deal for Arsenal.
The 29 year old pocket rocket stands at 5ft 9in but he’s explosive and really packs a punch with his shooting.
He has scored 8 goals in 10 games for Celta this season and 35 goals in 84 games since he joined the club in the summer of 2013.
The journeyman has also played for Granada, Benfica and Barcelona, where he graduated from the B team in 2010.
He’s something of a late bloomer but now has 5 caps for Spain since his debut in 2014.
The only arguable drawback of such a deal for Arsenal would be the age of the player. 30 next October, he would realistically be a rather expensive short-term signing. But if he got Arsenal over the line with the league title this season then he would be more than worth the outlay.
Let’s see some of his better moments in Spain.
