Adaptable

It’s very much hotting up in the transfer window now as the posturing comes to a conclusion and deals start trickling through.

Chelsea’s results have improved since Guss Hiddink took charge of the club but they do still seem as if they could be active in the market as they attempt to claw back the ground lost to their title rivals over the next few months. They are currently 13 points off The Champions League spots and 19 from the summit.

And they have been linked with the signing of a striker who appeared in The Europa Cup final last season.

The Express writes:

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim Chelsea are eyeing a swoop for Bacca before the February transfer deadline.

The Colombian international only moved to Milan in the summer and has settled in well with 9 goals in 19 games for his new club.

The 29 year old, who stands a 5ft 11in has scored goals wherever he has played, He is a quick and energetic forward who is very much a team player and has been a central part of the Colombian team since his debut in 2012, with 8 goals in 25 appearances.

We wonder whether Chelsea would be willing to part with the £30m that the report says he would fetch, in light of the fact that the player is already 29 years of age.

But, considering their desperation to speed their way up the league, perhaps it is a price that they are ready to pay.

Let’s take look at Bacca in action.

Chelsea fans: a good solution?
