There are those players who generate a huge amount of hype but rarely fail to underwhelm when it comes to the big stage.
Then there are those who surprise you at every turn with their quality and keep pushing the boundaries of their potential.
We would have to put Toffees front man Romelu Lukaku into the latter category.
We felt that things could go either way for him in his early carer. When Chelsea let him go out on loan he looked raw and, at times, disinterested.
But, since then, he has grown into one of the foremost forwards in world football.

Although United have played down a bid for Lukaku this month, it is understood they are ready to move for him as part of another huge summer spending spree.
The report does point out that Manchester United are unlikely to snare the player in January but will attempt to bring the big Belgian in this summer.
Lukaku is a goal machine. He has battered in 19 of the beauties already this season in just 24 games.
He’s quick, powerful and has surprisingly good technique ‘for a big lad’ as they say.
And, rather worryingly for the opponent, he is still on 22 years of age.
Lukaku has also performed admirably at international level where he already has 42 caps to his name and 11 goals.
