As you would expect in January, there are some crazy stories flying around this month.
Thankfully, soccersweep is here to separate the wheat from the chaff.
And this one could have substance as The Daily Star reckons that Real Madrid are prepared to pay Chelsea £100m for Eden Hazard as Zinedine Zidane makes his mark on the side:
EDEN HAZARD’S Chelsea future has been cast into fresh doubt with Real Madrid ready to make a blockbuster £100m summer move.
And, if he does leave the club then Chelsea could make a bid to bring Gareth Bale back to England, according to The Mirror:
Chelsea are ready to enter the battle for Gareth Bale this summer.
We would obviously like to see Hazard stay at Chelsea for his whole career. But some sections of the Blues faithful have apparently held him partly responsible for the departure of Jose Mourinho so it’s easy to imagine that he will feel unloved enough to move on to a club managed by one of his idols.
As for Bale, well he may well return to England this summer after suffering his own spell of abuse with the boo boys and what a bargaining chip Hazard could provide in such a deal.
As speculation goes this one has more plausibility than many a tall tale. If Chelsea were offered the Bale/Hazard swap right now they may well take it. And the circumstances might be perfect for a summer swap.
Let’s see some Bale brilliance.
Chelsea fans: decent deal?
