Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has a massive month ahead of him as he attempts to steer his club away from their current, horrid, form and also tries to bolster the side with some genuine quality at a notoriously difficult time to do business.
But latest reports seem to suggest that there are two players on the radar and they both look gettable if the club acts in a decisive manner. The Daily Star reported at the weekend:
Louis van Gaal plots £75m double deal to save his job at Man United
The Manchester United boss is eyeing moves for Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson and Southampton wing wizard Sadio Mane.
Sadio Mane
Was dropped from Southampton for his tardiness before their game at the weekend and Ronaldo Koeman was publicly fuming.
This has led many to believe that the head of the player has been turned and that he’s angling for a January move to Manchester United.
Certainly his speed and fluidity would be greatly appreciated and offer the team another point of attack – this, in turn, could free up Anthony Martial, who is currently being shackled by three players every time he gets the ball.
Felipe Anderson
Another wonderfully quick and technically brilliant player who usually operates out wide but can also play comfortably at number ten.
If Manchester United can sign these two wonderful players they will not only have much better balance, speed and threat in attack but also almost guarantee the top four finish that is surely the minimum requirement if Louis van Gaal is going to stay at the club.
