Move on?

The ill-fated era of David Moyes at Manchester United may be further wiped away from the record books over the next few weeks with the news that his iconic signing, Marouane Fellaini, could be leaving the club this winter.

Fellaini didn’t generate much excitement when the news first broke of his signing for Manchester United and he hasn’t exactly wowed the crowd on a consistent basis whilst at Old Trafford.

But with Euro 2016 now just a few months away Fellaini will certainly want game time and may not get that at Manchester United. And Sky Sports passes this report on from Italy:

Marouane Fellaini has emerged as a transfer target for AC Milan, according to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The Manchester United midfielder is on fringes of the team at Old Trafford, and reportedly could move in January to secure regular football ahead of Euro 2016.

Fellaini undoubtedly has enduring qualities but is not particularly suited to the Manchester United way and we think that it would be of mutual benefit for the player to leave the club this winter.

Fellaini has played 68 games for Manchester United and scored 9 goals. His time at the club has also been hindered by injury and, apart from a decent spell in the team last season, he has never seemed particularly central to the plans of Louis van Gaal – more of ‘Plan B’ in times of desperation. That said, very few players have irrefutably improved under Louis van Gaal at United.

Let’s take a look at some of his better moments for Manchester United.

United fans: Does the squad still need Fellaini’s physical strength and aerial presence or is it time to get rid?
