Title winners elect?

It’s been yet another year in which the main question asked about Arsenal is whether they have progressed at all or whether they are still suffering something of a Groundhog Day.

Arsene Wenger has stubbornly resisted long time calls for extra steel through the spine of the side and this may continue to hinder their development.

But we do see progress in this Arsenal squad. In a league which is currently housing so many transitional sides The Gunners have every reason to believe that they can take the title this season. And perhaps belief is the keyword after ten years without the big one.

Arsenal have suffered a recent raft of injuries but the cuffing of Olympiacos in Greece demonstrated a real squad depth.

So will this be Arsenal’s season? Will they win the title at last?

We still have reservations about Wenger’s puritan style but they have as good a chance as anyone of winning the Premier league.

Here is our best XI of 2015.
