Chelsea’s intrest in signing the Premier League’s top scorer in January is solid according to The Daily Telegraph.
They say that the on-fire striker Jamie Vardy is wanted by Guus Hiddink as part of a squad tszuj in the coming window.
‘The Foxes’s centre-forward has been the subject of a tentative inquiry from Manuel Pellegrini’s side but the champions interest is more solid’
Manchester City, it seems, are also sniffing around but Chelsea seem more certain of a move for the striker who leads the scoring charts with 15 goals in 17 appearances this season.
The 28 year old Sheffield man also broke Ruud Van Nistelrooy’s record for scoring in consecutive games earlier this season.
He would bring pace and accuracy to Chelsea’s front line. Vardy is a fox in the box who manages to get on the end of a ridiculous number of crosses.
It appears that he will be faced with a huge decision in January. He can stay and possibly help make history at Leicester or pursue his own personal ambitions with a club like Chelsea. Not an easy choice to make.
Let’s take a look at Vardy in action. Chelsea fans: is he the right age and profile for the club or should Guus Hiddink be looking elsewhere?
