It’s a story which is gathering pace almost by the hour and even the most heavyweight of media outlets have got involved on Jose Mourinho to Manchester United.
The Times states that talks have already taken place between Manchester United and Mourinho’s representatives:
Manchester United have held informal talks with representatives of José Mourinho to gauge whether the former Chelsea manager would want to succeed Louis van Gaal.
What is amazing to us is that some Manchester United fans still seem apprehensive about bringing Mourinho to Old Trafford.
Sure, he’s not perfect and has made some mistakes. But as long as he can, at least privately admit that (as we are sure he will), then this is an absolutely pivotal moment in Manchester United’s history – they have to get Mourinho.
We think that six months down the line when Manchester United are winning every week, the fans will absolutely adore The Special One in the same way as the Chelsea fans loved him.
But there is a battle on to avoid long-term mediocrity at Manchester United and the first concern must be to turn results around. And there is noone better in the business at this than Mourinho.
Manchester United must act or be left behind by the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal.
