4-2-3-1: Chelsea’s Best XI vs Porto – big man returns and Hazard in the hole

Big match

What the Dickens is going on at Chelsea?

A) Jose Mourinho has forgotten how to manage

B) Jose Mourinho has put one too many noses out of joint and now he’s lost the dressing room.

C) It’s just a freak season where Leicester are two points clear at the top and 12 teams could still win the league.

D) A mixture of the above

E) None of the above

We are plumping for D. Chelsea and Mourinho got off to a bad start with the spat with Eva Carneiro and we can’t help thinking that the resulting disaster has been spawned from that.

Alex Ferguson is one of Jose’s mentors and the Scot was nothing if not controversial. But he perhaps got the balance right during his managerial career. Some feel that Jose has just gone a bit far and needs to take some lessons in humility.

Much as he would like to believe it, the world isn’t against him and Chelsea. In fact, he has had rather a lot of luck in general and even this season the injury count has been far lower than any of their main rivals.

What the Portuguese legend needs to do now is concentrate on what he is good at. He is, for example, a great motivator and that’s what his Chelsea team needs going into this Porto game.

A win will take Chelsea through to the knockout phase in top spot and give them room for positivity for 2016.

Here’s our best XI to get the job done, with Diego Costa rightfully returned to the starting team and Hazard causing havoc in the hole.

Chelsea fans: let’s have your elevens please
