What do they say?
Chelsea are ready to rival Manchester United for Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller.
The champions are going to let Diego Costa escape scot-free for his petulant bib-throwing at boss Jose Mourinho during the draw with Spurs on Sunday.
soccersweep says:
He may not be the most easy player on the eye but Muller has produced the goods on a regular basis ever since he found stardom at the World Cup in 2010. He was top scorer in that competition and now has a remarkable 68 caps and 31 goals for Germany. He also has a winners medal for his country after the Brazil 2014 victory.
His stats at club level are possibly even more impressive.
In his 7 and a bit seasons at Bayern Munchen he has scored 141 goals in 325 games and always seems to score big goals in big games.
Muller is a natural born winner who already has 4 Bundesligas and a Champions League medal to his name.
We think that, after so much success in Germany, he may well be open to a move to sample another big European League while he is still young.
Likelihood? 5/10 – very expensive and you would have thought that Louis van Gaal would be favourite for his signature. But he may well prove to be the sort of player that would appeal to Chelsea and Jose Mourinho. A real team man.
Your shout: do you think he’s worth a nibble?
Shall we see his highlights? Yes we shall
