Strong side

It was another poor result for Manchester City in The Champions League which leaves their fate, in terms of a 1st place finish, out of their hands.

Whatever criticisms that you can throw at City, they are never usually over cautiuos and had their chances to win this one or at least take a point.

But their big hitters missed their chances and now Manchester City must win their last game and hope for help from Sevilla against Juventus if they want to have the best chance of avoiding the elite in the first knockout round.

Now they must regroup and start to put a and run behind them. Because, lest we forget, City are within striking distance of the top of the league and qualified for the knockout stages of The Champions League – with Sergio Aguero back from injury and Silva just a slight doubt, there are reasons for optimism.

Bony and Kompany have a chance to make the squad this weekend and the latter is needed for his leadership skills and solidity at the back.

So here is our strongest XI vs Southampton. Manchester City fans: let’s have our teams.
