This one is perhaps a little far fetched but there is so much money sloshing about The Premier League these days that no transfer rumour can be completely dismissed out of hand.
Reports in Italy suggest that Roman Abramovich is going to offer Chelsea the best quick fix ever by signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
In short Chelsea want to make Ronaldo an irresistible offer which includes 100m Euros to his club and a massive salary to become the flagship player under the new Chelsea regime.
The report also suggests that the club will raise the money by selling Eden Hazard, Oscar and Nemanja Matic.
Ronaldo would of course be a sensational player for Chelsea.
He is 30 now but nowhere near the scrap heap. It would be folly to suggest that he is still improving.
But he looks after himself so well and has never been weakened by a serious injury so you would have to imagine that Chelsea would win the league next year if they signed him.
The big question is whether he would be prepared to throw away the adulation enjoyed from his United fans and join their fierce rivals.
All we can say on the matter is that money talks.
Let’s see Ronnie in action.
Chelsea fans: feasible?
