Chelsea

Well Placed Source: Chelsea line up big money attacking addition

If Chelsea’s performance levels this season are anything to go by then they will be one of the busier teams in the coming transfer windows.

They have a lot of money to spend and a lot of catching up to do – 13 points, at this stage, just to get to fourth.

And the latest names to be linked to the club are both at Benfica. The London Evening Standard, who regularly gets the big scoops where it comes to London clubs reports:

Benfica pair Goncalo Guedes and Talisca on Blues’ radar

The report suggests that Guedes, who has been likened to Cristiano Ronaldo after getting his first Portugal caps at the age of just 18, has a whopping £42m release clause – agreed when he signed a new deal this year.

But that price is probably negotiable and this kid looks to have a very exciting future. Some may speculate that he could eventually be a replacement for Chelsea star Eden Hazard, who may be attracting interest from Spain.

Guedes has played 17 times for Benfica and scored 2 goals.

The Talisca link isn’t a new one and the 21 year old looks very much the Mourinho type.

He’s got amazing feet but also have the physical strength to look after himself in this league.

Talisca has scored 12 times in 51 games from the attacking midfield for Benfica.

The report does state that the Guedes deal would be unlikely to happen in January. But he may well be worth the wait for Chelsea.

Let’s see him in action.
