4-2-3-1: The Manchester City XI to Sever Sevilla

Raheem Sterling was released from his shackles of mediocrity with a hat-trick against Bournemouth at the weekend and you do get the feeling that when the attacking triumvirate of he, De Bruyne and Aguero are fit and firing, they will record some cricket scores.

For now, Bony is doing a great job at number 9 in Aguero’s absence and they will surely all start again in the home tie against Sevilla in The Champions League on Wednesday.

Last season’s Europa Cup finalists are no pushover and will definitely have a go at a Manchester City side which still looks strangely vulnerable in Europe.

But the confidence is growing and a last gasp win on Match Day 2 has left City with great hope of a top two finish in this group.

But you would imagine that anything other than three points in this one will leave Manchester City on the brink once more.

Without wishing to apply the kiss of death, we can’t see that happening and feel that City will be the victors in an entertaining game.

And we have gone for exactly the same side that started in that resounding battering of Bournemouth, except we have added Vincent Kompany.

So here is our XI.

That first XI is not bad but I think we should Mangala could have started so Kompany should come later. well let Pelegrini do what pleases him but victory is my portion.
