For such a good side – and for our money there is no one better in The Premier League, on their day, than Manchester City – you still don’t know quite what you are going to get from Manuel Pellegrini’s side from one week to the next.
Perhaps what makes them so interesting is precisely that they are almost as likely to implode as to batter an opponent by 6.
And while Bournemouth won’t come to Manchester City with too much expectation of a result, they should certainly enjoy themselves and see it as a shot to nothing.
Bournemouth will be further buoyed by the fact that Manchester City’s best two players over the last few years are missing from the line up with injury.
Sergio Aguero could be out for in excess of a month while the magical Spaniard, David Silva, is fighting to be fit for the Manchester derby next weekend after taking a painful knock during the international break.
