Arsenal

Finally: Arsenal make huge bid for world class talent who is keen to join The Gunners this summer according to journalist

Yes, it’s the ever keen Daily Star.

But, in this case, they are simply passing on the news from an Italian journalist that Arsenal are finally making a move for the brilliant striker Karim Benzema.

Apparently a £45m bid has been tabled and Arsenal may well be in luck as the player is keen on joining up with Arsene Wenger. The Daily Star reports:

Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli claims the Gunners have lodged the mega-money offer for the French striker.

And he adds that Benzema is keen on a switch.

…and the Tweet in question states:

As neutrals we would absolutely love to see Benzema at Arsenal.

Why? Because his signature would add one more serious title contender to the mix.

Until now Arsenal have been good at dispatching the smaller sides but regularly come unstuck against the big boys because they don’t have a striker who is good enough to land the first, decisive, blow.

Instead they usually go behind and then end up chasing games.

With Benzema, one of the best 5 strikers in the world, Arsenal would immediately become a much more substantial side at home and in Europe.

Let’s see the lad in action.

Arsenal fans: Are you confident that this one can happen?
