Get them in

The problem for teams operating at the top end of the market is that there currently appears to be a real dearth of elite talent which isn’t already at an elite club.

Manchester United would gobble up the likes of Gareth Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo and Alexis Sanchez (if only LvG had listened to the calls of soccersweep to sign the brilliant Chilean last summer) if they were available.

But they are proving impossible to snare and Manchester United may have to pull a rabbit out of the hat if they want to add more pace to the side before the window closes.

Here are three who are potentially gettable and could make a difference:

Marco Reus

Last summer we banged on about how Manchester United should bring Alexis Sanchez to the club. He would have been ideal.

This summer it’s Marco Reus. He is one of the few players out there who is potentially gettable and not with an elite club already.

He’s fast, incisive, creative and brilliant in front of goal. What are you waiting for Louis?

Antoine Griezmann

At 24 he’s only been at Atletico Madrid for a year after a 30m Euro transfer from Real Sociedad. But he was a revelation in his first season in Madrid, scoring 25 goals in 54 games, mainly as a winger.

He’s quick, strong and direct. A lovely player to watch and prolific in front of goal.

Xherdan Shaqiri

Ok it’s an outside shout.

He hasn’t settled well at his clubs over the last few years. But we think he still has something to offer to a top club.

Still only 23, he’s hit 17 goals in 46 for Switzerland and doesn’t appear to be wanted at Inter. We think he’s worth a punt.

But let’s see Antone Griezmann in action.

MANU has to buy central defender ( John Stone) and mid fielder (Pedro) for MANU to be stable.
