Real Promise

It’s been a busy summer in the market for Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers but he doesn’t look as if he has quite finished his business yet.

With less than two weeks to go before the new season starts reports today suggest Liverpool have held discussions with French club about a move for talented Paris Saint-Germain left back Lucas Digne.

The Frenchman who has been capped 8 times by his country at senior level looks as if he will be the most likely addition to the Liverpool set up before the season starts, with The Daily Mail stating:

Liverpool have held talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a deal for left-back Lucas Digne.

The Liverpool boss hasn’t had too much luck with defensive signings so far during his tenure as manager at Anfield.

We like Alberto Moreno but he hasn’t yet performed on a consistent basis for the club.

Meanwhile, players like Dejan Lovren and Mamadou Sakho have failed to justify their big price tags so far.

And the less said about Javier Manquillo and Aly Cissokho the better.

But 22 year old Digne does look like an excellent prospect.

He’s quick, tough in the tackle and looks as if he reads the game pretty well for a 22-year-old.

Let’s take a look at the lad in action.

Liverpool fans: a better bet than some of the previous defenders that Rodgers has signed?
