There has been a wave of speculation over the last week about Marco Reus to Real Madrid
Certainly the British media has picked up on the idea that the brilliant German may be on his way to Spain in a huge deal.
At 26 we think that this guy that has the lot. He’s really pacy and will run all day. But he marries that athleticism with genuine football intelligence.
He has scored goals wherever he has been but he’s just as much as creator as a finisher.
Like Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos, Reus has superb technical quality and we think that he’s one of the few players in Europe who is potentially gettable and could noticeably improve the front line.
But who would be the fall guy? Well new Real Madrid head coach Rafa Benitez may just throw caution to the wind and ask Cristiano Ronaldo to play centrally this season.
He’s an absolute goal machine who scored 61 times last season and who is to say that he couldn’t better that tally if he was concentrating solely on scoring?
We think that, if Reus does arrive then the most likely player to miss out would be Karim Benzema. James Rodriguez blew hot and cold last season but he is young and will gain consistency.
So perhaps if Reus did arrive then he would play on the left side of a 4-2-3-1 with Ronnie through the middle.

I think its better to sit bale on the bench than to sit benzema because Benzema is a team player and is more important than selfish and overrated Bale. which this will give reus to play on the right wing.
