The goalkeeping and striker roles seem to be getting the most attention from new coach Rafa Benitez, if the swell of latest reports are anything to go by.
With Iker Casillas gone, Kiko Casilla moving to Los Blancos last week and continued speculation over the future of David de Gea, expect more movement in that area over the coming weeks.
And up top Real Madrid will surely sign another player before the window closes.
They have decided against making their loan of Javier Hernandez permanent and there remains some uncertainty about the future of Karim Benzema.
Latest reports in Italy suggest that Real Madrid are close to signing the brilliant Spaniard Fernando Llorente. Marca reports:
According to Tuttosport, Juventus player Fernando Llorente is closing in on a move to Real Madrid.
We love this guy.
He may not be the quickest player in the world but he is composure personified.
At 30 year of age he’s played 23 times for Spain, scoring 7 goals.
He’s also scored at a ratio of 1 in 3 at Juventus, despite not always being first choice.
But it was at Athletic Bilbao where he really made waves and perhaps Spain and La Liga suits him best.
We think that he would be an excellent medium term addition to a Real Madrid side which needs a little more depth at centre forward.
Let’s take a look at him in action.
