The irony of this situation is that, although Barcelona are in the middle of a transfer ban, they have just completed the best bit of transfer business in Europe so far this summer.
It’s amazing that Barcelona have managed to bring a player of the quality of Arda Turan to the club when he can’t even start for them until January 2016. It throws up all sorts of questions about what he is going to do until then. Perhaps just train with the reserves. Or perhaps a fascinating loan move beckons.
There was talk of him coming to The Premier League – and Barcelona won’t want to strengthen a direct opponent – so maybe some English club could still get the short term benefit of the lad.
Whatever happens it’s going to be interesting to see where he plays. He will surely have sought assurances about this role in the team. But with Barcelona already having such a strong midfield, a big name is going to miss out.
If Barcelona continue with a 4-3-3, as expected, next season then the front three is obvious – Messi, Suarez, Neymar. In the midfield you have to assume that Busquets will keep his place at the base of the midfield. So it’s a toss up between the so far impressive Rakitic and Iniesta. One would imagine that the experience of the latter will keep him the team. At 31 he has at least one more good season in him.

Certainly,Arda Is the man, no question. Pogba is good but not enough to be second highest paid to Messi,and certainly not for €80+ million.
£24mill for Arda is great,no, Astounding business.
