When will this one get put to bed? Manchester United need a new anchor man with composure, presence and great technique. And they would struggle to design one from scratch who is more suitable than Morgan Schneiderlin.
At 25 he can be a Manchester United great and we simply hope that the club pulls their finger out before some other lucky suitor gets hold of him.
Thankfully, good news on that front as our most trusted source, The Guardian, reckons that another bid is about to go in:
Manchester United are poised to make a second bid for Morgan Schneiderlin after Southampton rejected an opening offer of around £20m for the midfielder.
This deal, if completed, gives Manchester United so many options. In the biggest games we imagine that both he and Carrick would sit in front of the defence in a 4-2-3-1. But, at other times, Manchester United can use either/or in a more attacking formation. This way Schneiderlin can be assimilated into the team over time as Carrick slowly wanes.
It will be a brilliant of business and Manchester United fans will sleep better when the club gets the deal over the line.
Let’s take a look at the lad in action. Manchester United fans: a no-brainer?
