Manchester United reject another bid for Morgan Schneiderlin

Morgan Schneiderlin is set to leave Manchester United in the January transfer window after being told by Jose Mourinho he is free to go.

The Frenchman has endured a miserable spell at Old Trafford following his move from Southampton in 2015, making just 32 appearances.

While the 27-year-old doesn’t feature in Mourinho’s plans, United are still standing firm when it comes to offers.

The club have already rejected a £13million from West Brom, and the Sun report they have now also snubbed Everton’s £19million approach.

That could see the Baggies up their offer, but as for the Toffees, they are reluctant to meet United’s valuation of the midfielder, which is £24million.

It’s thought Schneiderlin would be keen on a move to Everton as that would involve a reunion with Ronald Koeman, the manager who got the best out of him at St Mary’s.

However, the same newspaper also suggests United aren’t just rebuffing Everton because of the price tag.

It seems the Red Devils would prefer to sell abroad to avoid the player joining a Premier League rival. That would make Inter the favourites at present, but this is a saga that could well rumble on until Deadline Day.
